The picture show above is the car only using the Superstreet exhaust header, the rest remain stock (expect exhaust tip)
The Superstreet exhaust is design for street use. It is not suitable for you since you are using it for track.
Exhaust system for track use must base on engine design to be build, there will be no any muffler on cat-back.
To build a track use exhaust system, 3 to 4 different type of exhaust header will stand by, waiting to install on track car and test on dyno machince one by one, once the best result is found, the fine tune process will begin, and so the new track use exhaust system is born. Track use exhaust system will cost RM2,500to RM5,500 (base on material and engine design)
Normally, upgrading cat-back exhaust (from center to rear muffler) woun’t increase engine power much (about 2%), it use to be act like a supporting unit for exhaust header and a silencer as well to reduce exhaust sound.
Why there are alot exhaust system “cap ayam” on the market, no doubt it is because of customer need. Most of the people judge the performance of exhaust system simply by how the sound is. and others beleive that they have found the formula (piping size or “unique” muffler) to build a “perfect” exhaust system, and so they go for “custom make”
But think again, without any advance equipment and machine, how to ensure a performance of exhaust system? Yup, people always “guess”
For kfw:
Sorry bro, due to alot customers are visiting, I can’t reply your SMS at the moment
The bad news is, the Campro CPS has finish stock, the next arrive will be after 2 week.
If you are free, you can visit our showroom in Sunway(you can get our location map at “contact us” section) you can pay the deposit first, so I can keep stock for you easily
For Netracer:
Sorry bro, alot customers visit my showroom
Hmm… not really, because Campro and Campro CPS are different engine design . When the time pickup, normal campro may react soon abit, but campro CPS can catch up in very short of time.
You are right, production car is design to has greater drivability on the street , but still, how to control it and drive it smoothly, this will depend on the driver
For Zac:
According to theory, exhaust header with 4-2-1 formation has better torque output on low to mid range RPM, and exhaust header with 4-1 formation has better exhaust flow on high RPM range.
Ofcourse, we can’t just change one of the formation above according we need this must base on the engine design. Only the product which has test it in lab and prof the performance, that is a good product.
The exhaust header for SAGA BLM cost RM680, labour RM80
For Netracer:
Yes,the chart has no problem and you are right , during the dyno test, the non CPS model has higher torque then CPS model. But take a closer look on the power curve before install our exhaust header, the curve is normal.
Every dyno test, the result are not always the same (due to tire slip, temperature, and other factor), more important is how much improvement between both power curve before and after.
Supra turbo header:
- Single turbine design.
- Support twin scroll turbo.
- Come with waste-gate.
- Only suitable for VVTI model.
- For heavy modification (not for plug and play)
- Remap ECU is must.
- Price RM1600.00
For Netracer:
It is ok my friend, everyone is learning here
In ECU, fuel trim can be divided in to two part which Netracer is talking about; “STFT” (short term fuel trim) and “LTFT” (long term fuel trim), their main purpose is to improve driveability and detect engine problem when there is any unusual combustion.
In both of the fuel trim, there are +/- 5%~10% fuel trim correction area, this extra fuel trim is support the car model which has more consumables item like timing belt, oil seal, intake air control unit, distributor… if there is any thing gose wrong on engine, ECU will adjust the fuel trim to let engine run in “safe mode”
The car model like turbocharge engine, supercharge engine and old engine model (80′~98′) are under most consumables item category, this is a good news for user to upgrade the exhaust header, turbo or intake manifold with out trigger the engine light on (ofcourse this is not a good way…)
Thanks to the technology today, engine today are more durable and safe, and the fuel trim correction can be reduce to just +/- 5%, but this is a problem to user to easily trigger the engine light on when upgrading performance part. That is main reason why the programable ECU or fuel trim support unit are popular (and also why user always facing engine light on problem after upgrading performance part)
And back to the topic the way we make the exhaust system, ofcourse we always trigger the engine light on, but thanks to our professional engineer and workers, we have soft the problem and offer customer the performance exhaust header which won’t have engine light problem and stay on high power output
For netracer:
Actually, it is because of the turbine is worn out and turbine has it own life span .
Once the turbine is worn out, the A/F ratio will begin rising, when O2 sensor detect the change of A/F ratio (it must in certain range) ECU will automatic reduce the total amount of fuel on injector output, to make the A/F ratio stay on safe range . Ofcourse, the engine performance will be reduce .
This is common problem on all turbo engine, reset ECU won’t help, because soon or later, it will adjust back to safe mode.
Unlike normally aspirated engine, it won’t have this problem, except the O2 sensor is damage or air filter is dirty
To make ECU won’t change the fuel output when A/F ratio is different, only way is programable ECU which is for RACE use.
How much torque you need to consider is enought? actually it is a subjective thing , that is why I have post the dyno chart as a reference for user to compare which RPM range they use most , and how much improvement there are
Althought exhaust system is not complicated to understand, since the related information you can get from internet easily, but please don’t be over confidence , a good exhaust system are not easy to be build, user must understand what they are doing, there are no any gurantee for user to combo mix the exhaust system
To kfw:
It is ok bro , the O2 sensor will be relocated on the joining part which all 4 pipe conect together
Since the old car model is runing 16-bit ECU and the signal reading speed is slower, even the O2 sensor is located on one of the exhaust pipe, the reading won’t effect much to the ECU .
But the ECU today has more powerful processor and advance programing, so the signal reading speed is more faster and sensitive
For Netracer:
Answer 1-
It is not posible to increase normal 1.6 performance to CPS 1.6 performance by only changing exhaust header (extractor)
Answer 2-
The exhaust header between Campro and CPS are not totally the same, the main different is the angle of the exhaust header. Same as the performance output, it is huge different
For Deann:
This will depent who you are going to trade in to; direct to person or to trader .
If sell it to another person, you are the person who define the selling price of your car, so you can offer cheap price or higher price depend on car condition
If sell to trader, ofcourse the price will drop down over 20%, later trader need to mark-up 10%~15% as their own profit margin (including advertising fee, fuel and salesman commission)
Yes, we able to do the interior customize for every car, including FD1, we have the photo sample of our previous customer who drive the FD1, but due to the problem of the photo, I have take it out from the “customer car section”
Please visit out showroom at sunway, so you can select the fabric you want and the design you prefer
For Deann:
Hi Deann, I’m Kevin Both manual transmission & auto transmission has their own benefit and disadvantage. For example:
Manual transmission:
Good - Fun to drive, freedom, sporty.
Bad - Miss shift, trouble on clutch control, busy on shifting gear (specially when traffic jam ).
Auto transmission:
Good - Relax, relax and relax .
Bad - Boring, boring and…..zz…zzz….ZZZ(too easy to fall into sleep )
More important is: “what you want your car able to do?” Don’t worry, everyone is learning here
For Seli ani:
Thanks for sharing the idea About the ECU, I think it is not neccessary yet Upgrading fuel pump, fuel regulator, full set exhaust system, high flow air filter… don’t worry, stock ECU still can support all this modification.
Even so, replacing to programable ECU, how power is it~? (this is really common question from most of my friend ) And the answer is~~~ not much big different or “ok lar, abit power lor…”
With few modification, there are not much data need to be change in ECU, normally just advance the ignition timing, increase injector duty correction… that’s all Unless changing to high cam profile, turbo charge or super charge, programable ECU is “MUST”
For Ryan:
May I know which type of race you in ? Rally? Race track? Autocross?
For Patrick:
Nice to meet you Patrick , you are fresh in modifying car right? Ofcourse the ride will be more hard after lowerd the car.
Lowerd the car, the distance between absorber and chassis is closer, if the spring is not hard enought, the absorber are easly bang on the chassis. To prevent this problem, the spring has to be hard enought, that is why you feel the ride is hard.
- Lowerd spring is more on design to lowerd the car for “visual effect”
- For (height adjustable) coil-over absorber, it is design for road sport use, naturely the handling feel is more soild.
- Ofcourse, there are suspension kit can lowerd the ride and keep the ride comfort, it cost over RM6,000 for set Usually can be found on Merc Benz, BMW, , Lexus, Alfa Romeo…
There are alot of Estima owner asking the same request and the main problem here is: the center row seat can only be found in chop-shop or genuine spare part store, even customer can get it, the design of the seat may be different; not design for plug & play.
Center row seat have 3 different type:
1- Similar like Bench seat.
2- Both are independent adjustable seat.
3- Left seat is design for “disable” use, which can be transform to a wheelchair.
You compare the midbox and muffler is different between Gen2 and Neo right?
Dyno chart is a “reference” to show the engine’s power curve after using our exhaust header (extractor). When the car is more heavy, although engine power curve remain unchange, during acceleration it will be slower abit compare with light weight car, we call it different of “power to weight ratio”
But still, it is not saying that, our exhaust header is not good It is base on car design.
Gen2 original design as a family car and Neo is design for “fun to drive” When we comparing both car’s performance,we are just like comparing Kelisa and Kenari…
